Report: Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs to start camp on PUP list

Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs is expected to start training camp on the physically unable to perform list, the Dallas Morning News reported Monday.Diggs tore the ACL in his left knee during a practice before Week 3 last season, roughly 10 months ago. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said in June that Diggs looked “great” amid his recovery.By placing Diggs on the PUP list at the outset of camp, he is able to be activated from it when he passes his physical. Anyone placed on the reserve/PUP list during the preseason must miss at least the first four games of the season. The Cowboys believe Diggs will be ready for the season opener Sept. 8 against the Cleveland Browns, the Dallas Morning News reported.
