Saturday Nights Alright for a fight
Finally! One of the biggest match ups in boxing history comes to us Saturday night May 2, from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, Manny Pacquio vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Are you excited? Do you even care? I am excited and I do care, I have been and always will be a die-hard fan of the sweet science, and I’ve been wanting for this fight to happen ever since the talk of this matchup has been lurking over the years. Yes, it should have happened years ago, but its set for now 2015, and no better time than the present. While I am excited, I do know how these things can sometimes go, with that in mind I will reserve judgement till after the fight, suspend any negative thoughts or criticism until Monday morning, I’ll just wait anxiously like a kid before Christmas and hope to high Heaven I don’t get socks. For the bout itself and who I think is going to win, I will pick Manny Pacquio. From the very first time I watched him fight on Friday Night Fights in the Mid 90’s and I saw him with his lightning fast straight left punch I knew he was destined for greatness. Sure he has had some let downs, but I feel those have come more out of boredom with his competition, he is finally going to fight the best, and I believe his focus will be the factor in this fight having to overcome the best defense the fight game has ever seen put up, in Floyd Mayweather’s impenetrable style. We shall see! All I ask, I implore to the boxing gods, please deliver a great fight, because for $89.99 a PPV we all deserve it!
