Shout Out
Shout out and big ups to coach Mike Krzyzewski and Duke for winning their fifth NCAA National Championship Monday night against Wisconsin 68-63. One of the most intriguing and fun matchups in quite some time. Yeah I know lots of folks wanted to see Duke v Kentucky, but if this was to be the second best matchup then I’ll take it every night. This game had me sitting on the edge of my seat with 16 lead changes, five ties, stress, tension, pressure, drama and controversy. Whew… I can’t take anything away from Wisconsin. They had a great year and what they did to Kentucky is admirable and unforgettable, but in a battle of wills Duke prevailed, as Wisconsin blew a 9 point lead, did not stay on their game plan keeping Kaminsky going up into the paint and add to the fact that they lost their legs late in the second half. Here’s to another great month of March! We’ll see what sort of excitement next year brings. Key words: next year. Switching to another sport, Isotopes baseball begins Thursday, April 9th. Wanna shout out to you that the Sports Bar will be broadcasting live from the lab Friday, so come join us as baseball makes its triumphant return to Albuquerque.
