Bracket Madness

Oh the madness, the madness, hahaha I love it! This past weekend was the start of the NCAA Tournament and as usual it has lived up to all of the fun and excitement it does year in and year out, making it one of the most exciting sporting events of the year. By virtue of our brackets, we become part of the action, which makes the tourney that much more fun. How many of us have filled out a bracket with the expectation of beating our peers for money, bragging rights or the belief that we can predict the outcome of the tourney, only to watch our madness turn to sadness? How many of us are still hanging on by a thread, with some teams in contention? I happen to fall in the latter. I never fill out my bracket thinking I’m really going to win, but when I do well I hold my breath and keep my fingers crossed. Who doesn’t want to win an office pool? Who doesn’t want to appear to be a genius among his/her friends? I do, and while some picks come by virtue of a guess, I’ll gladly take your money and spoil your day with my bragging that my bracket is better than yours. That’s why it’s called madness — and there really is no method to it.
