Entertaining Yes!

I was at the game Saturday night at Branch Field at University Stadium for the contest between the UNM Lobos and the Boise St. Broncos, and whew! What a game! I can go and on about another disappointing Lobo loss, or how we know there was some officiating decisions that were absolutely head scratching, but I do not feel like regurgitating what you have and will continue to hear. I am a glass-is-half-full kinda guy, so I just want to focus on the entertainment factor this Lobo football squad delivered on this beautiful, cool November night. I had such fun hanging with my girlfriend and co. right from the opening kickoff! This game offered many components: speed, drama, intrigue etc.  Hell just refer to the score 60-49. While the score does not indicate much defense was on the field, it was a shootout and the Lobos showed up to the fight at the OK Corral and did not get blown out by a superior conference opponent. Here is a couple of great examples in which I am referring to: Ridge Jones whose speed down the sidelines on the field made my neck hurt. I swear I saw vapor trails behind his helmet with his kickoff return of a 100 yards and his 75 yard touchdown run from scrimmage. There was also 505 rushing yards delivered by the Lobos, the most a Boise St. team has allowed. Tell me now if you wish you had a been at that game. You could have bragged to all your friends! The Lobos showed up to play. Yes they lost but they can definitely hold their head up high. For my money and my Saturday night I had fun and I was highly entertained. That's what it's about. Winning is everything. They will get there and games like this are an indicator that it will happen soon, not this season but next year look the hell out. For now I'll entertain myself by watching this program compete and grow!
