Bye Week Blues

Until New Mexico football is able to win on a consistent basis, every loss is going to feel like a blowout. The Lobos fell 35-31 at Air Force last Saturday in what turned out to be a good old college football game. However, with the lack of success/wins, UNM fans are not on board with good job, good effort. Saturday wasn't about a bad program or Mike Locksley's faults. It was about two teams making plays and the Falcons happened to make one more. The displeasure with Lobo football won't go away with one win or four. It's going to take a season of success for fans to buy into the turnaround. Hopefully fans give Bob Davie and the players another chance in two weeks. Yes, they are on the road but it's another chance to show what they are made of at UNLV. New Mexico has struggled in Las Vegas recently. This will be a test of their physical and mental abilities to show that they are still locked in and will compete to the end of the season.
