Buffalo is home, where the Bills should roam
Canada is known primarily for being the United States' hat, or that overly neutral country with that one battleship, and don't forget the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). The country with the distinct maple leaf flag does however have some exports I am very fond of… hockey, William Shatner, Rush, and yes even the Canadian Football League. Yes I like the CFL even with their weird nicknames like the Alouettes, The Blue Bombers, or the Argonauts. Even if they play for a Grey Cup instead of a cool Super Bowl Trophy, and even with some subtle differences in their rules and a longer field (yes they play on a 110 yard field vs. the NFL's 100 yards.), I can still dig it, but the CFL belongs to Canada. Just as the NFL belongs to the U.S. of A.
That is why I don't like the idea of potential ownership groups considering taking one of the NFL's most storied franchises the Buffalo Bills north of the border to Toronto. While they would still be an NFL franchise, like the people of Buffalo, NFL purists etc., I don't like the idea. The three finalists as potential owners include a group with rock star Jon Bon Jovi, Maple Leafs Sports and Ent. chairman Larry Tanenbaum, and the Toronto based Rogers family. The second and third groups are Donald Trump, and Buffalo Sabres owner, Terry Pegula.
Two of these groups have done considerable damage to the world already, they should not be trusted. One group has a guy that single handedly ruined Heavy Metal in the late 80's, and one of the groups ruined his hair and we as a society can't escape it. I don't want to see the screw up of an American-owned franchise being shipped across the border or overseas. Haven't we sold enough of this country out? Isn't anything sacred? For the love of God, Canada, enforce your southern border… Keep the Bills in Buffalo!
