FLASH GORDON

Former Albuquerque Isotope Dee Gordon is representing Dodger Blue in the 2014 Major League All Star Game. Gordon is one of four Dodgers in this year’s game to be held at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Congratulations Dee! In the tradition of our old Albuquerque Dukes (the original AAA franchise of the LA Dodgers) and players of said team who transitioned to the Dodgers and became perennial all stars, Dee slides his way into Baseball greatness! Gordon’s success has not been without adversity, as injury has reared its head a time or two for the speedy base stealer.
In his first year as a second baseman Gordon is hitting .302/.356./.416 this season with 101 hits and 50 runs scored in 85 games. Gordon leads the Majors with both 42 stolen bases and nine triples.
I love this story for the speedy player that could, finally get his much deserved spotlight through patience and tenacity! I'll never forget his time back here in Albuquerque and always thinking to myself this cat has some wheels man he's something else!!!
