World Cup

The American's run at the World Cup is over.  It was exciting.  It was fun.  It was entertaining. But what will it mean in the long run for soccer in the United States?  That remains to be seen. I do believe the steady increase in the popularity of the "beautiful game" in this country will continue and I think that's a good thing.  What I hope does NOT continue is this battle between the hard-core soccer fan and those who don't love the game.  Soccer snobs, as they have been called, seem to have no tolerance for those who don't like their game, and soccer haters seem to have no tolerance for those who love it. Relax.  Calm down.  It is just a game, like football, baseball, hockey and the rest of them.  Enjoy it..or don't.  Some don't like baseball…that's OK.  Some don't like hoops…get it?  Enjoy your games, try to expand your horizons.  Just relax…is all this bashing and battling really all that fun?
