UNM Football

Greetings to all! I hope everyone has had an excellent week! Injuries and other issues that are plaguing the UNM football team during their spring sessions normally would be cause for concern. They certainly still are but they've been shoved violently into the background as details have emerged regarding another one of Bob Davies player, soon to be starting RB, Crusoe Gongbay. Gongbay was arrested and subsequently released after posting bail after being accused of rape. Sexual penetration, kidnapping, as well as conspiracy are the charges that being brought against Gongbay after a young woman has accused him along with two other men of these horrific acts. Supposedly she was gang raped in a moving vehicle and forced to perform sex acts at gun point during one encounter with the man who was driving. Media and fans walk an extremely fine line between understanding that false accusations and bad motives do indeed exist and do occur…so we must be hesitant before we jump to any conclusions. We, however, also must give the victim the benefit of the doubt during what must be an extremely difficult time after she's left school, has headed home and is seeking counseling. In short, we must seek to see both sides until the law says otherwise. Have a great week!
