Lobo Football will hold their annual “Spring Showcase” this Saturday at University Stadium. This well be your first chance to see the 2016 Lobo Football team. UNM will have a lot of cool stuff going on Saturday. Below is a list of all the happenings:
The University of New Mexico’s Spring Showcase Football Exhibition will take place this Saturday, April 16 at University Stadium with the gates opening at 1:30 p.m. and the team taking the field at 2 p.m. Admission and parking are free for the Showcase.
The Spring Showcase will begin with the team warm-ups on the Branch Field turf at approximately 2 p.m., and the showcase will run until approximately 4 p.m. After the showcase, the team will host a free clinic with Infinity Sports for 250 or so Albuquerque youths.
Fans should park in the Stadium West parking lot off of University Avenue, and fans can enter at Gates 3 and 4. The stadium video board will be on during the Showcase for fans as well as during the kid’s clinic. The first 200 fans through the gate will receive a 2015 Lobo Football Highlight DVD, and schedule posters and other promotional items will be available. Special concessions deals include $3 pizza slices and $3 Rita’s desserts, as well as options for hot dogs, nachos and Pepsi products. There will also be a Select-A-Seat event in the U.S. Bank Club Level in the South End Zone Tow Diehm Building during the Showcase.
The Spring Showcase is brought to Lobo fans by 610 The Sports Animal, 770 KKOB, AND Comcast Spotlight.
For the kids’ clinic, all children will be invited to attend the clinic, and they will enter through the southwest corner of the field. All parents are invited to stay and take pictures from the stands.
