Jeff’s Journal

I’ve been watching Adam “PacMan” Jones’ act this week. He is the Cincinnati Bengals defensive back, who was hit with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty as the Bengals fell apart and gave away their first round NFL playoff game last week against the Steelers.  His teammate, Vontaze Burfict, got called for knocking the Steelers’ Antonio Brown unconscious with a hit to the head. The 15-yard penalty against Burfict, a player with the reputation of being dirty, was the right call.  Brown, as of this writing, is still uncertain to be able to play next week after the concussion he suffered.  Pacman has been on this tour, telling everyone who will listen, that the call on Burfict was wrong, and that Brown should get an award for acting…that he wasn’t hurt.  Brown was out cold on the field.  Every replay you look at shows a violent, full-speed hit to the head of Antonio Brown, with his body going limp.   Jones then lost his mind and his composure and cost his team.  Be a man.  Like the Minnesota Vikings kicker who missed a chipshot last week and cost his team the game.  He stood up in front of the microphones, didn’t make excuses and accepted responsibility.  Not Pacman.  It’s everyone’s fault but his.  And that is why is not, and will never be a champion.
