Return of the King of Smack
First and foremost I have to send a HUGE Congratulations to Holly “The Preachers Daughter” Holm for her absolutely outstanding victory over Rhonda Rousey, Saturday night in UFC 193 from Melbourne, Australia. Unbelievable, thank you Holly on behalf of all of New Mexico! You know there are more congratulations in order, as I also have to give a big ups for the tremendous victory the UNM Lobo football team had over Boise ST., in Boise State on their own funky blue turf. Not only back to back wins for the Lobos, but becoming Bowl eligible, and making some outstanding progress over the course of this season under head coach Bob Davie, keep up the good work, we are all very excited with the hard work and great effort that this program has put in. Lastly the crazy wave of winning and fun continues, as the addition of Jungle Karma which started last Friday with the men’s basketball team winning still continues on with the appearance of the awesome Jim Rome who will be here in Albuquerque, NM this coming Friday, November 20th. Rome will begin his appearance by first broadcasting his radio show which airs Monday thru Friday from 10am to 1pm, here on the Sports Animal, right out of our very own KNML Studios, whew, what an honor that will be. Then at 2 the party gets started and The King of Smack will head over to Sandia Resort and Casino, where we will all get together to see Rome bring it, talk smack, have fun and who knows what other surprises may be in store.
I can’t express to you all how much I admire Van Smack, there is not enough room here in this newsletter, but if you do not know I am the fan/clone or whatever you may want to call me who got the legendary Jim Rome tattoo on my leg, I think enough said…with that, I will see you all on Friday as we will have what other Jungle affiliates rarely get, a second appearance by Rome, since his Tour Stop here in 2004, and the mother of parties! Let’s keep riding the wave, WAR the Duke City on its epic win streak!
