Is it time to bag it?
Ok Chiefs, Cowboys, Lions, Chargers, Ravens, Seahawks, Colts, and Eagles fans, I’m talking to you, and (some others I suppose). With all the hope and expectation leading into this 2015 NFL football season for these particular teams, I ask the question, is it time to bag it and start planning and hoping for next season for your team? The answer for most of these teams is yes, the injury plague has certainly bit some of these teams hard so there is no way around that, but what about bad coaching, strange moves in the off season, maybe a Super Bowl hangover for one, and just all around bad playing game in and game out. Now I did ask the question is it time to bag it and move on, plan ahead for the 2016 season, I didn’t ask if it was impossible that one of these teams won’t claw its way out of the well, (I’m thinking of Silence of the Lambs for some reason), but it remains to be seen. We are now in the half way part of the season, and for one of these damage cases to make a run at a wild card means they would have to run the table and win all of their games, impossible no, likely no, but we’ll see. I hate to sound like such a negative Nigel, but this is how it goes in the NFL, unless your name is the Packers or the Patriots two exceptional franchises that appear to always have their head together even through adversity. You never know sometimes things can go your teams way, get a lucky bounce, a winning streak etc., you know what they say about a dog’s behind…and sunshine, so maybe bag it, but don’t toss the bag out just yet…
