3 Day Weekend

At this time I’d like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy, safe and relaxing Labor Day Weekend. Everyone busts their butt every day and an extra day to share with your family, recharge the batteries, decompress etc., is always nice to have. So if your gonna bbq., go tailgate at the Lobo Football home opener Sat. Sept. 5th, or chill with some frosty adult beverages and watch college football from the comfort of your home also remember those who don’t have the day off, save them a plate of food and have some of those frosty cold ones ready for them as well. We all deserve a break and let’s take advantage of the time off, as another holiday weekend doesn’t come again until Thanksgiving. As for what’s getting ready to get underway, why hell College Football, are you ready? I’ve been!, Nationally and most importantly locally, I mentioned earlier the Lobos kick off their season Saturday versus the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. There is a buzz heading into the season for UNM football, and Coach Davie is excited, the players are hungry and excited and from talking to the Lobo fan base there is excitement as well. On that note I hope to see you all Saturday at the game, and next week I’ll give you my thoughts on game one, and we’ll also take a look at the other action from the College football openers. Last but not least, don’t leave out Major League Baseball as the division and wild card races are really heating up, and some surprise teams are in the fold this season, such as the Mets, the Astros, and the Blue jays are all poised to make some noise. Once again have a great Labor Day weekend and be safe!
