Predictions

This is an interesting time of year in that two of the most important Championship series happen at the same time, well sort of. The NHL Stanley Cup Finals begin tonight featuring the Chicago Blackhawks vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning, and tomorrow night the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors finally begin after a seemingly long layoff. The beauty about these series is that they are of course staggered so we do not have any overlap, which is smart of course by both leagues. Often time’s logic is not put into play when it comes to logistics of the way things work in sports, just take for example the fact that if there is a game 7 in the NBA Finals that would take them until June 19? Almost more than half the month will be gone, ha well that story is for another day, for now I’m just gonna give you my predictions, simple and to the point as to who are going to prevail in both series and become 2015 Champions. First in the NHL I feel the winner of this year’s Stanley Cup will be the Chicago Blackhawks, I will take their recent Cup experience to slow down a fast younger Tampa Bay Lightning team that will be a force to reckon with for some time but will have to pay their dues this year and taste a loss. As for the NBA I’m sticking with my guns, and I’m picking the Cleveland Cavaliers, not because of LeBron James and his will to win, dedication, leadership, and physical presence, but simply the odds of the universe giving the city of Cleveland a Championship have finally got to be in that city’s favor, at least I hope, rest assure Lake Erie will burn one way or another, and if any city deserves a championship it’s Cleveland, years of hell and having dedication will hopefully now pay off, if not we will get the gofund me site prepped for as much therapy as we can offer. Go Ctown we all love the underdog!
