NBA Conference Finals
If game one between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals is any indication of how this series is going to go, then man get ready for a helluva ride! Last night the Warriors lead by the NBA MVP Stephen Curry take game one by beating the Houston Rockets which were led by the MVP runner up James Harden 110-106. Clearly this series will be a test of wills, and I like what I see. On air I called the Golden State Warriors to win this series, but I somehow thought it would be a cake walk, and now I am beginning to have some second thoughts. The Rockets are starting to prove they are more than a force to be reckoned with, they hang in, they battle and James Harden is not ready to gift wrap this series to Golden State by no means. In a test of wills as I mentioned the Warriors appear to be the blade that catches Houston. Golden State is relentless and when they get in their groove, they put the pedal to the metal, then send it into cruise control. It’s going to require effective and smart basketball, and lots of stamina to take them out. If I sound excited about this series, it is because I am, so let’s go and may the best team represent the West. Oh yea, I neglected to mention the other little series in the Eastern Conference between LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Eastern Conferences number one seed the Atlanta Hawks, which gets underway Wednesday night in Atlanta. This doesn’t as exciting a series, but hold the phone, we don’t just crown anyone so quickly these days, but hehehe hand a win or two to the Hawks, and get ready to see the Cavs and Warriors in a gnarly Finals match up.
