Hero Worship to Inked up leg
I must admit I've always been a little bit of a weird dude. Not the kind of weird, scary kind of guy harmful to myself, others or animals. Just weird enough to when I become a fan of something or someone I wear my heart on my sleeve. Case in point my Jim Rome tattoo. Many have asked me why I put the King of Smack ink on my left calf. Even Van Smack himself has asked me, and I usually answer by saying, "Because he is the king of smack!" By the way if you are wondering what the tat looks like go to the 610 Sports Bar page and you can see it. There is a deeper meaning to why I got it. I don't just ink up my body with meaningless skulls and lame out-of-date tribals. I started getting tattoos in the late 80's when lots of people still didn't have "a lot of ink". Come now to 2014, tons of people walk around with at least one. I guess it was like when my parents named me Michael. That name was not in abundance; now it is one of the most common names in society. I can't walk down the street without there being 50 Michaels. Even my co-host is named Michael… sheesh! I digress, back to the ink of Rome. I will one day fully explain to you all (hahaha a tease if you will). With all my quirkiness however, throughout my life and my love of all sports, I have always been a fan of the very talkative, sometimes controversial sports broadcaster guys, such as Howard Cosell, Al Michaels, etc. Rome just happened to be the coolest, with his creative vernacular, rapid fire smack and awesome interviews. Just a little insight for you in what I call Pt. 1 of the Tale of the Tat!
