Greetings to all!!

I hope you've all had an excellent week!! First off, I have to opine on anyone who believes that the UNM football players who have had (or will have) their charges of rape and/or kidnapping dropped should still be disciplined by Bob Davie and by the UNM Football Program. I can't understand this argument! While I personally as a student athlete would probably stay away from any parties or late night outings, I don't believe players should have to. If they truly didn't rape the alleged victim then if you're Bob Davie you have to treat this incident like it never happened….even if it is another potential black eye on the team in the court of public opinion. Gongbay and Edwards shouldn't have to pay for the shortcomings of previous players or regimes.

Now, onto the World Cup. For anyone who listens to my show, this will come as no surprise…but I don't like soccer. I did, however, find something this morning that I believe should make even the most hardcore of fans question what's going on in the "world's game." Speculation and rumor that the US and Germany may agree ahead of time to enter into a tie so as to ensure that both advance is absolutely asinine and insane!!! Are you not playing to win? Are you going to play a game where the outcome is predetermined and guys will not take shots on goal that they should or will pull up when it's not necessary? Is this seriously ok? To hear as well that this may even be a fairly common practice!? What about this is ok? Even if US fans would say ahead of time that they would love to have a tie…..it's not ok if that tie is forced! Excuse me until next week while I go throw up!
